Slidetex Gloves

Slidetex Gloves are fingerless gloves designed for use by caregivers for individuals with limited mobility as a result of stroke, spinal cord injury or multiple sclerosis.  The gloves are made from antibacterial/antifungal nylon. They can be used when helping to change the position of a person being cared for in bed or while bathing. When used with a hoist or glide sheet, they can help to make movement easier and to prevent shearing.  A caregiver working alone can use the gloves to reposition a person in stages by moving the feet first, then the buttocks and trunk, then the shoulders and finally, the head.  Also, by placing the glove over the person's hand or foot, the glove may assist in getting a person dressed as it will prevent fingers or toes getting caught in clothing.
